Here is the bowling quote of the week for Los Angeles County:

Bowler Scott Englehart was enjoying himself Monday night at Canoga Park Bowl, and there was good reason.

Or reasons.

– He was bowling exceedingly well, powering his strike ball against the defenseless pins en route to a sparkling 737 series. Furthermore, he nailed a “clean 30,” meaning he recorded either a strike or spare on all 30 frames without an open.

– He was surrounded by three pretty young ladies who bowled on his “Brat Pack” team.

– And he was simply at a bowling center, where in his words, he’s just there “to have fun” – joking and carousing.

Scott’s celebrations were well noted by his dad – elite bowler Johnnie Englehart (shown in photo) who was bowling just a couple of lanes down.

Johnnie, not a shrinking violet himself, said of Scott:

“He’s a character. He loves to talk. I don’t know where he gets that from.”
