WALK FOR FREE - You can join the nation’s largest walk for pooches – without paying. Just "like" the Dumb Friends League's Facebook page and then enter its Scurry Up Sweepstakes, and you could win two free Furry Scurry registrations, a $100 value.

CUISINE FOR CATS - The Cat Care Society will hold its next Feasting for Felines event Thursday, March 21, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at all Front Range locations of California Pizza Kitchen. The society will receive 20 per cent of the bill for dine-in and takeout meals, catering and beverages. You'll need to print out and take this flyer with you.

AUTHOR WILL APPEAR - Best-selling author W. Bruce Cameron will sign books at a March 30 fundraiser for Life is Better, a Lakewood animal rescue.. The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Warwick Hotel in uptown Denver, and will include dinner and a silent auction.

Cameron, a former Colorado resident and columnist for Denver newspapers, made the New York Times bestseller list with his two last books, "A Dog's Purpose" and "A Dog's Journey.
