Here’s a sobering thought on this administration’s attempt to gather support for what they claim is comprehensive immigration reform. President Obama ordered the ‘Gang of Eight’ to come up with a plan that includes a ‘pathway to citizenship’ for those already here, or he would come up with his own. If he had a plan, why would there be a need for road trips to promote any plans?
Heaven forbids Obama venture into the core of the American society which, according to some of the latest polls, deem border security and curtailing illegal immigration as more important than amnesty.
Here’s a sobering thought, Obama doesn’t have a plan, the ‘Gang of Eight,’ don’t have a plan and comprehensive immigration will be at the forefront of the 2014 election cycle.
The Houston Chronicle’s headline reads, ‘What prompted Napolitano trip to Houston? Could it be Texans’ resistance to immigration reform?’
Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano visited Houston yesterday to promote what this administration is calling,'commonsense immigration reform,’ as well as, outright lie to those in attendance about the ‘administration’s efforts to secure the nation’s borders.’
If there is a comprehensive reform packages completed, or the border is secure, why are these roads trips necessary? There is no plan, and the border is not secure.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz ‘accused the Obama administration of using citizenship as a “poison pill” that would kill the bill. He says it’s all part of a White House calculation to give Democrats a political issue for 2014 and beyond rather than fixing a broken immigration system.’
Rep. Bill Flores, R-Bryan, adds, ‘I’m not sure you can do it all as one solution. That’s like building a sandwich, and every time you build a sandwich you’re going to find people who don’t like the bread or pickles or whatever.'
Texas Sen. John Cornyn states, ‘Recent news reports noting wide gaps in security along the U.S.-Mexico border and scores of individuals crossing into the U.S. illegally continue to fly in the face of the Obama Administration’s insistence that our border is secure.‘
Granted, all these remarks are from Republicans, but here’s another sobering thought, somebody has to know more than you know.
