Sony Computer Entertainment today revealed the Dualshock 4 controller for the Playstation 4 during the Playstation Meeting 2013 which took place earlier this evening. The new wireless controller for Sony’s upcoming next-generation console combines elements from the current Playstation controller and blends them with features found in the PS Vita.
First off, the Dualshock 4 will have enhanced six-axis sensor which will allow greater sensitivity for motion control. Additionally the Playstation 4 controller has a touchpad (similar to the one found on the back of a PS Vita) on the its front as well as a built-in speaker and headset jack right in the Dualshock 4 itself.
One of the most interesting new features of the controller is its “Share” button with will allow gamers to instantly share gameplay footage to friends in real-time thanks to the complete game streaming technology that will be built into the entire Playstation 4 network. This single feature makes the Playstation 4 seem much more than just a leap in power above current-gen gaming and actually seem like an innovative leap for the industry.
