In Nashville this upcoming weekend, here are a few events visitors and locals might want to participate in or visit.

The roaring twenties are returning to the current era with the Art Deco event at the Frist Center for Visual Arts on August 16, 2014 in Nashville, TN. Celebrate the era of the Jazz Age in luxury with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and live music. Guests can dress in attire from the twenties to turn back the clock to an earlier time. An Art Deco Affair will include the current exhibits on display at the Frist Center.

The Undy 5000 5 K will be taking place from the Hall of Fame Park on August 16, 2014 to increase awareness of colon cancer research and taking donations to fund the research through the Colon Cancer Alliance. Participants will be taking to the streets of Nashville in boxer shorts to remind folks to get screened for colon cancer while running or walking in support of survivors or in memory of loved ones.

Looking for music during the weekend in town; Grammy winning artist T-Pain will be bringing his ‘Drankin Patna’ tour to Mercy Lounge’s Cannery Ballroom on August 17, 2014 which will surely be a high-energy packed show. Tickets are still available at Mercy Lounge or by calling 866-468-7630. This show will allow fans a more personal and up-close show for $25 per person. If still in town on Monday August 18, 2014, alternative artist Tori Amos will be stopping with her tour at the Ryman Auditorium that evening. Tori will be performing hit singles ‘Cornflake Girl’ and ‘Crucify’ while including new music into her setlist.

Take to the streets of downtown Nashville anytime during the weekend and visitors and locals can find something exciting and entertaining to do. Have fun, live life, enjoy your moments.
