‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ star Anna 'Chickadee' Shannon gets hitched

It’s another wedding for the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” family. On Saturday, reality star Anna “Chickadee” Shannon wed her fiance Michael Cardwell, and TV cameras were on hand to capture it all, according to a May 3 report from People magazine.

The 19-year-old bride, who has a toddler daughter, Kaitlyn, from a previous relationship, gushed about her luck in landing the 21-year-old truck mechanic. "I'm so excited to be marrying Michael,” she told the magazine shortly before the ceremony. ”Kaitlyn and I are very lucky to have him, and we can't wait to grow our family. I can't wait to be his wife."

Cardwell proposed to Shannon on New Year’s Eve at the annual Tallapoosa Possum Drop when he presented her with a pizza with the words "Marry Me" spelled out in pepperoni. The proposal played out on the show’s season 3 finale in March, with Mama June saying "Michael's going to make a great first husband."

A source previously told Radar online that the Georgia couple planned the entire wedding themselves. Shannon’s white silk wedding gown was reportedly purchased on sale for just $212 online, and her bridesmaid sisters Jessica, 16, and Pumpkin, 13, planned to sport white and teal dresses from the chain store Forever 21.

The flower girls were Kaitlyn and Honey Boo Boo herself, 8-year-old reality star Alana, and the whole shebang culminated with a backyard barbecue and a three-layer chocolate and strawberry cake made by Shannon’s aunt.

Of course, longtime fans of the TLC reality series know that this isn’t the first time a family union will be shown on the show. Last year, the commitment ceremony between Mama June and her longtime love Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson was broadcast on the show. Mama wore a camo print gown and Sugar Bear donned his best hunting pants and bright orange vest for the backyard barbecue and ceremony, which occurred nearly one year to the day before their daughter’s nuptials took place.

The latest “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” wedding will be seen when the new season of the TLC reality show premieres on June 19.
