Not everyone is a fan of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,' but someone is certainly keeping them on the air. In fact, according to The Wrap in an article dated Thursday, September 12, more people tuned in for this season's finale than any other Honey Boo Boo episode to date. Perhaps we better 'redneckognize' that this hillbilly family is going to be TLC's spotlight family for a good while.
This past Wednesday's popular episode featured Mama June and Sugar Bear's commitment ceremony. The bride sported a camo dress, while the groom attempted to rock an orange vest and camo pants. Not only did TLC score a series high with this episode, but they also shattered the old series record for the women in the 25-54 demographic. In this category, there was a rating of 2.2.
A total of 3.2 million tuned in for the 'I Do' event. TLC hasn't experienced such a number since November 2012's 'Breaking Amish: The Shunning Truth Part 1.'
Still, Honey Boo Boo's ratings are a far cry from A&E's 'Duck Dynasty.' The Robertson family trumps the Thompson clan by luring in nearly three times the viewers. Either way, the Georgia family is still creating enough of a buzz to continue airing.
