On Tuesday, the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" family gave an update on Lauryn's injured eye and explained how it happened.
A picture of Lauryn with her bum eye was posted (see above photo), prompting a commenter to ask the family what happened.
Big sis' Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon, 15, was left to engage readers with updates and respond to readers as baby sister Honey Boo Boo is currently out of commission. Alana is bed-ridden, and at home sick with croup.
Jessica tried her best to explain Lauryn's eye issue to fans:
eye is fine her right eye is the eye that got hit with a set of keys a few wks ago when they was threw across the room in a freak accident she is alot better now and going back to school tomorrow but it is still healing and the flash from the pic makes it look alot worse
Jessica went onto say, "Pumpkins eye is fine, she's recovering from an accident and is under dr's care."
Further proof that Pumpkin's eye is on the mend -- Jessica also revealed that Pumpkin had to wear an eye patch for weeks but has been able to go without the last few days.
However, commenters weren't ready to let it go. They kept bombarding the family with comments of concern, resulting in several frustrated responses from the Honey Boo Boo family.
Someone even insisted that Pumpkin has eye cancer, to which June Shannon responded rather curtly:
NO! she doesn't! did you even read the post? SHE HAD AN ACCIDENT A FEW WKS AGO AND IS UNDER A DR'S CARE, SHE'S HEALING FINE AND INFACT GOES BACK TO SCHOOL TOMORROW
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is currently filming its second season. The show is scheduled for a string of holiday specials and season two, all of which is scheduled to air Jan. 2013.
