Here are some of the worst distortions used to slander religion

There is a growing animosity towards religion in general....are people fed up with religion or the poor display of it?

There are rumors circulating that the United Nations will soon outlaw religion…truth or lie? Although the UN has been administering some curious discussion regarding human rights and a world view concerning the treatment of religion, one would need to put it in the lie category. There is a block of both Islamic and western religious cultured nations that would stymie any attempt to do so.http://www.firstpost.com/topic/organization/united-nations-secret-plan-of-the-united-nations-to-destroy-all-religions-e-video-ZyBOjzlxiLg-55-1.html

However with the rise of Islamic extremism, anti-Semitism, and persecution against Christians, there is clearly an anti-religious theme in the air that can at least be discussed that religious hatred has markedly increased through ways as subtle as legislation to as blatant and being hunted down and murdered.

Jewish hatred

Anti-Semitism has been a beastly problem to the Jews for thousands of years. From the documented attempt to destroy the Jews by the evil Haman in Esther, to the barbaric exploits of Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler, the Jews have been targeted for extermination. Modern day charters of Israel’s enemies actually have edicts for the Jews' destruction.

Riots that resulted from anti-Semitism being preached or lies repeated is still a catalyst for anti-Jewish hatred. Drinking the blood of murdered non-Jewish children was a common lie spun to whip up mobs into a frenzy. This buffoonish falsehood was the basis for many riots that resulted in the murder of hundreds of innocent Jews. Mere accusation is enough to fire up those looking for an excuse.

There is a spiritual issue for this ongoing hatred that is ultimately rooted in spiritual authority. There is no other rational explanation except what is substantiated in the Torah or Bible.

Christian hatred

It should not be shocking that the religion that birthed Christianity would have the same hatred transferred over. As Jesus Christ, a Jewish rabbi declared, “they have hated Me without cause”. The spiritual authority which creates the rebellion in the haters is codified in Christianity.

The lies about true followers of Christianity are not sophisticated but effective; believers want to force Christianity on everyone, there is no such thing as a historical Jesus, the Bible is full of lies, errors, and distortions….the list can go on and on.

How does one discredit the love of Christ and Jesus’ command to “love one another”? One merely twists the words of what Christ said regarding taking communion, “to eat of My flesh and drink of My blood”. Those hating Christ actually claim Jesus is condoning cannibalism and vampire worship. One really has to have brass to say that with a straight face.

You really do not have to be rational or truthful to push an agenda.

Islamic hatred

Muslim extremism is also being used to foster hatred against Islamic believers who for the most part practice a much more peaceful version of Islam. Treating every Muslim as though they will produce indiscriminate terrorism is a perfect smokescreen for justifying persecution against Islam. Muslims are a perfect storm for unleashing religious hatred.

There are communities of Muslim, Christians, and Jews that have lived side by side for centuries without the extremist views being generated. The Quran can be linked to violent practices, but this action is not the predominant theme of many that follow Islam.

Yes, radical extremists are capable of wholesale terror, but many Muslims were just as dismayed by the actions extremists took on 9/11 or what is currently taking place with ISIS. There are Muslims being slaughtered along with Christians during the rampage of ISIS.

Synopsis

The Jews are bad because they control everything. If that were true, then why is Israel in possession of a dried out, rocky, desolate, and small piece of property that nobody wanted?

Christianity is bad because….well way back in the Middle Ages during the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition; and the Nazis displayed “God is on our side” on their belt buckles!!! Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler had Catholic indoctrination. Naturally all these are shining examples of what Christ instructed.

Islam is bad because….well look at all the terrible things the extremists are doing!!! Yes, it is horrific…however extremists bring dishonor to any philosophy when violence is used.

Negativity, particularly lying negativity, works in spreading disinformation which is one of the worst kind of deceptions.

Haters rely on gullible people swallowing a lie enough to formulate warped opinions. The propaganda regurgitated against the Jews by the Nazi regime worked in establishing a culture of rabid hatred of the Jewish people.

The Bible, Torah, or Quran can easily be used to justify religious bashers to act on their prejudices and begin to erode this country’s constitutional practices for protecting religious freedom. There is always a fear factor being thundered by haters of religion that preys on the insecurity and passions of those listening.

Everyone has a role to play in creating the monster.
