Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) will continue its commitment to Michigan’s recovery by hosting a “Back to Résumé Basics” guest panel/workshop on Wednesday, March 14.
HFCC is coordinating this event with the Human Resources Association of Greater Detroit (HRAGD) Community Relations Committee, who will have several members in attendance. These members will participate in both the panel and breakout sessions, sharing their expertise on what job-seekers need to have on their résumé. Some of the members scheduled to participate include:
- Darcy Beagan: A human resources professional with nearly a decade in the staffing industry, Beagan is currently a technical account executive at Adecco Engineering & Technical in Bingham Farms. She is currently the vice-president of the HRAGD Community Relations Committee and also serves on the Board of Directors for the HRAGD.
- Nancy Kerin: Currently a human resources generalist at Phillip Service Industries in Livonia, Kerin oversees recruiting, training and special projects in locations throughout the United States. She has 10 years of experience in the human resources industry, and is a member of HRAGD and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
- Michael D. Lewis: Lewis has more than 15 years of human resources and sales experience, with positions in higher education, banking and construction. Currently, he is an executive recruiter at Ryder Systems in Novi, where he works with logistics and supply chain professionals in the United States and Canada.
“This is a great opportunity to hear from front-line decision-makers on what they look for in a great résumé. You can also get one-on-one help in our breakout sessions to polish your résumé,” said Chad T. Austin, Job Placement officer at HFCC.
This event runs from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. free on March 14, in the Berry Auditorium of the ASCC Building, which is located on the college’s main campus and open to the public.
