Local news sources reported Friday night that Henrico police are out in force looking for suspects after five robberies occurred in the same apartment complex within 24 hours of each other.

Police are out searching the Pony Farm area of Henrico after 5 people were robbed at gunpoint in the Treehouse and Wood Creek Apartment complex. One of the victims was a man with his toddler at his side. One other victim was repeatedly punched.

Henrico Police Captain Albert Scott said, "Not only are we being reactive, we are also being proactive to make sure everyone is safe…especially during this time of year." Right now, many of the residents are scared. Ashley Street moved into the complex a month ago, and had this to say, "It's dangerous out here. I'm scared for the sake of my kids."

Another resident, Pastor Gwen Rodriguez said there was a security booth, but it isn't manned. She went on to say she had to call the police a few weeks ago because she heard what sounded like gunshots.

"I heard pop, pop, pop," said Rodriguez. "I hit the deck, and I yelled to my kids to get down. It was really scary. I felt like I was in a war zone."

Police are looking for two male suspects. Descriptions are vague at this time, according to news sources.
