Hennessy has created a very special limited edition bottle by the famous artist brothers of Brazil OS GEMEOS.
The identical twins, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo have been painting since they were three. Pandolfo said, “We were always painting when we were children.”
The brothers began their artistic career on the streets of Sao Paolo where they were graffiti artists in the 1980’s. Their extensive contemporary body of work ranges from murals to frescoes, paintings, and sculptures. They create on every size canvas. The brothers are firmly rooted in Sao Paolo, which they describe as a city of contrasts and where they continue to work and live today.
There was a very special lunch that honored and celebrated OS GEMEOS newest creation: the limited edition bottle for Hennessy. They have a quiet demeanor yet the words they spoke were poetic and genuine. They are honest and confident about their work and do not feel they need to explain it to people. They want those who experience their work to discover the story and feeling aroused within them. So when asked to describe their work, they don’t really want to go there, they want to leave it up to the viewer to experience it. Without defining their work, it allows their art to be completely open to everyone … a perspective that is quite refreshing.
The lunch was elegant and delicious. The Hennessy cocktails were vibrant as well as tasty. The blueberry mojito was out of this world delicious. I can’t wait to get the recipe because it was addictive. The luncheon was held at Rays Stark Bar at LACMA, and they truly delivered. The unique flavors and layers of the different Hennessy cocktails stood out; it showed how versatile and delicious Hennessy could be. The meal was on point with the unique Hennessy cocktails. The fish was cooked perfectly and the chocolate passion fruit truffles with brownie crisps were decadent… I ate every one of them!
The lovely special edition Hennessy bottle reminds me of a European village with reflective colors that make you feel at home.
