Update March 25: Altadena Library is hosting a closing reception for the artist on Saturday, March 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Community Room. Open to all.
The works of local artist Henia Nicki Flynn will be displayed in the Altadena Library Community Room during the month of March, 2013. The library says, “Henia’s work focuses on expressive figurative and architectural content; finding her outlet in color and light, conveying moods and capturing the essence of the world around her.”
A native of Chicago, Flynn received her training at the American Academy of Art and in Poland, where she studied with the former director of the Lodz Film Institute, Professor Jerzy Wieczorek. She has exhibited both locally and internationally, and been awarded several prizes for her art.
Flynn now lives in Los Angeles. For a taste of what the exhibit will encompass, some of Flynn’s paintings can be viewed on her website.
