Hempy Valentines Day Jeannie and Jack Herer

.

Research proves that it takes only the first 0.13 seconds in any relationship to predict it's future success.  There was never any doubt that Jeannie and Jack Herer are soul mates.  It is called love at first sight.

Jeannie flashes her beautiful smile remembering those first wonderful moments together.  "From the very first week he started calling me Mrs. Herer.  He called my folks up as soon as we met and asked them, "How would you feel about meeting us in Las Vegas for a wedding?"

Jack asked Jeannie's dad for her hand in marriage every year on Valentines Day 3 times.  Finally on 9-9-99 the couple tied the knot in Sherman Oaks at the Post Office.

No fancy wedding for these 2 laid back hippies.  Jeannie reminisces,

The post office was called the Plost Office!  It was across the street from the US Post office and run by a man named Plost!  Afterward we went back to our apartment and smoked pot.  Some guy played the banjo for our wedding entertainment."

Jack was in the car traveling 70,000 miles a year promoting his books and videos.  He spoke at festivals, parties, whatever was on the calender that day.  Jeannie stayed in California keeping the books, the website and so forth.

Josephine Antoinette McPike saw Jack in Hollywood on August 25 at a screening.  The two talked about how much they loved their spouses.  She said, "Jack told me, Jeannie is his soul mate.  Don't ever let your soul mate out of your site.  We'll die without our soul mates."

Later in the evening when Jack and Bill McPike sat down to discuss some legal business, the first thing Bill asked was, "How is Jeannie?"

"I love her to pieces," said Jack.

When hurtful rumors and innuendos surfaced following Jack's heart attack at Hempfest, Jeannie was the strong woman behind her man.

It felt ridiculous.  You wouldn't think I would have to go through any of that when my husband was so sick.  It's great that Jack is finally going to come home.  Now we can speed up the healing.  I know this oil can work  miracles.

Jack and Jeanie will certainly need the love and support of everyone in our community as she prepares for their journey together as he heals in their new home in Eugene.  Jeannie is going through all of the hoops and somersaults she can think of with the VA and Medicaid to provide the best environment for Jack's recuperation.  No matter which side you were on during the intrigue and confusion, certainly it is time to come together and support Jack and Jeannie in any way that we can.  It's the right thing to do.

Wonderful article. I knew through out this ordeal that Jack loves her with all his heart. They are a great team for the cause. I too hope this is all behind them so Jack can heal in a loving, caring environment surrounded by family and his many many friends. Happy Valentines Day Jack and Jeannie!
