A quick and easy way to find out how many apps or programs are opened - especially for those busy graphic designers or artists who have numerous windows cluttering their computer screens and wish to clear up some space, or perhaps their Dock is cluttered and can't easily locate which programs are opened, try this simple solution: do a command-tab (keep holding the command key down after hitting tab). A nifty window will appear in the middle of your screen showing which programs are opened. As you continue to hold the command key, keep hitting the tab key to cycle through the programs. Once you release the keys at a specific icon, it will automatically take you to that program. This is useful for those users who rely on key-commands to navigate around their computer screens. Enjoy.
