The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley is to provide a temporary home-away-from-home for families with critically ill or traumatically injured children. They achieve this mission through the quality and experience of their staff and volunteers, as well as the community support received to sustain the House.

For the entire month of February 2013, participating McDonald's will be selling paper hearts for $1.00 to raise money for this terrific organization. Check during your next visit to any Hudson Valley McDonald’s to take part in this campaign.

A few local restaurants will also be donating a portion of their profits during a day or weekend of their choice in February. Currently, the list of participating restaurants includes:

Sweet Grass Grill, Tarrytown, NY

20% of their profits will be donated on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Call (914) 631-0000 for reservations, and visit their website at http://www.sweetgrassgrill.com/ for menus and directions.

NY Hot Dog, Monroe, NY

5% of their profits will be donated every Saturday in February 2013. Find them on Facebook for more information and directions.

Portofino Restaurant, New Fairfield, CT

10% of their profits will be donated on Monday, February 25, 2013. Call (203) 746-3604 for reservations, and visit their website at http://portofinoct.com/ for menus and directions.

If you are a local restaurant interested in participating, please contact Jeanine Racioppo, Special Events Coordinator, via phone at 914-493-6455 or email at jracioppo@ronaldhouseghv.org
