Friday, January 27, 2012
11:00 am to 2:00pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Many Americans go hungry everyday; statistics show that one out of eight struggles with food insecurity daily. Empty Bowls is a fantastic way for families to support their local food banks while enjoying a simple meal.Local potters and artists have donated bowls to be filled with soup to go with the bread, dessert and beverages donated by area businesses

For a minimum donation of $15 for adults and $10 for children, each participant can pick out a beautiful handmade bowl to enjoy their soup in. After enjoying your meal, guests keep their bowls as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. Families can use their unique bowls to help children understand the ongoing problem and foster conversations on solutions.

All proceeds will go to the Highline Food Bank and White Center Food Bank.
