Help The Bells Teach at Africa University

See also

Dr. Marion Bell, soon to be 82 years old, has been invited to teach at Africa University as a Visiting Professor for the second semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Marion and her husband Bob will leave January 2014 for Mutare, Zimbabwe. This is a very personal Crowdfunding project.

Marion answered the “call” because Africa U is a United Methodist Church related institution, and when the university's Director of Planned Giving visited their church, Desert Spring United Methodist Church, Las Vegas, she told us the students at AU often ask why are there so few African Americans coming over to serve as visiting lecturers/scholars. The director knew Marion was an educator and asked if she would consider it. Marion said she would pray about it. That was nearly two years ago. Marion finally said yes, and they are readying their home for lease during their absence. You must do your own due diligence and be responsible for your purchases

These funds will provide such things as

plane tickets
shipping of all materials
computers
software
printer
text books and other items for Marion
camera equipment
and other items.
Bob will serve as the university photographer and computer technician. They will create an e-newsletter to keep you apprised of our activities, and donate items to Africa U when they have completed our tour.
