You can automatically support your favorite pet (or other) charity every time you shop online at AmazonSmile – at no extra cost! When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization – and there are nearly one million charitable organizations to choose from.
To shop at AmazonSmile you simply go to the AmazonSmile website from the web browser on your computer or mobile device. You will see tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile which are eligible for donations; these eligible products are marked ‘Eligible for AmazonSmile donation’ on their product detail pages.
On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you will choose a charitable organization to receive the donations from eligible purchases (before you begin shopping). AmazonSmile will remember your selection, and every eligible purchase you make thereafter on AmazonSmile will result in a donation to that charity. You can change your charity at any time, and there are nearly one million eligible 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations to choose from.
If the organization that you wish to support is not registered for participation in the program, you may select a different organization and/or go to org.amazon.com to learn how to register your organization to receive donations.
The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to your selected charity, and on occasion AmazonSmile may offer special, limited time promotions that increase the donation amount or provide for additional donations to charitable organizations.
You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile, and your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings will also be the same. Go to the AmazonSmile program details page for additional information and for a link to see all the eligible charities.
Just a very few of the list of pet charities include Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue in San Gabriel, California; The Humane Society of Greater Dayton; Tenth Life cat rescue in Alpha, Ohio; Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah; many House Rabbit Societies including the Buckeye HRS as well as the Columbus HRS; and the Ohio House Rabbit Rescue. There are, of course, many non-pet-related charities to choose from as well.
Does this replace your donations to your favorite charity? Of course not, the charities are only getting 0.5% of your purchase price - half a penny for each dollar you spend - but as long as you're shopping at Amazon, you might as well let AmazonSmile donate a few pennies to your favorite charity.
Doc Holliday (pictured) is a lovely gentleman with a bit of an edge: when he is feeling arty and dapper, he wears his special black hat. He is brave, social and curious and loves affection. He was rescued by Zooh Corner from an out-of-control breeding situation at a Glendale, California-area horse boarding facility. After living with so many bunnies he would truly benefit from having a bonded friend. If you/your bunny are interested in meeting Doc Holliday, contact Zooh Corner rabbit rescue via their PetFinder page. or email them at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
