Help reunite a U.S. soldier and the dog he had to leave behind

A U.S. soldier named Drew and a dog named Summer need our help.

Drew met Summer while he was away at war, and Drew had to leave her behind. Now he wants her to be brought to the states so they can be together again.

But they need our help to get her here.

No Dog Gets Left Behind 2nd Annual Valentine Charity Event, hosted by Save the Pups, will be held on February 25 in Philadelphia to raise money for Summer's transport.

From 7 p.m. to midnight at the Radisson Plaza - Warwick, located at 220 South 17th Street in Philly, a $20 donation will get you in the door. From there, you can enjoy live musical performances, raffle prizes, and food.

Save the Pups is a non-profit organization which provides financial support to reunite military personnel with the stray animals they found and bonded with while serving to protect our country overseas.

"If you have ever owned a dog, you know how deep that partnership can be," said Arielle Morris, founder of Clays for Strays. "Now try to imagine that connection if it were your outlet from war. And imagine if it was you who nursed that puppy from near death to a happy life. Only you can't bring your partner home. We can help Drew bring Summer home. We owe it to him and to her."
