Navient Foundation, the company-sponsored philanthropic fund,
awarded a $5,000 grant to help underwrite the costs of the volunteer
phone bank. The Navient Foundation has also committed to matching donor
funding of up to an additional $2,500 for total company support of

Navient, reported to be “the nation's leading loan management, servicing and asset recovery company,” has announced that it is joining with other Delaware employers in raising funds during the 4th annual “Help Our Kids” radiothon September 3-4. The fundraiser is held each year in support of kids being cared for at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, and sponsored by Delmarva Broadcasting Company.

Six local radio stations will broadcast from the hospital: WDEL 1150 AM; WSTW 93.7 FM; Eagle 97.7 FM; WXCY 103.7 FM; Cool 101.3 FM; La Exitosa 930 AM. Their on-air personalities will interview patients and families, physicians, nurses, and volunteers staffing donation lines. etc.

In addition to having its employees manning phones during the 2-day event, the Navient Foundation, has awarded a $5,000 grant to help underwrite the costs of the volunteer, and has pledged to match donor
funding of up to an additional $2,500 for total company support of $7,500.

director of the Nemours Foundation, who stated that “100% of all donations go to helping hospital patients.”
