Help keep Keller beautiful at Spring Trash Off April 14

Now that it’s spring, it’s the perfect time to get out and about and visit your local parks and have some fun. One thing that can tarnish your outdoor time is seeing trash all over the place.

With this in mind, the Keller Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Spring Trash Off to Keep Keller Beautiful on Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

If you’d like to help Keep Keller Beautiful, meet up with other participants at the Pavilion at Bear Creek Park, located at 400 Bear Creek Parkway, before heading off to your assigned clean up spots (you’re on your own to get there), which could be one of the many designated throughout the city. If you don’t have a pre-assigned clean up spot, it’s okay, you can get one on the morning of the clean up—simply check in at the pavilion in the minutes before 9 a.m. and ask for a spot!

If you’re one of the first 100 people to register to help clear the trash out of Keller, you’ll be the lucky recipient of a free T-shirt, but you don’t need to have the T-shirt to help—it’s not a fashion show!

After the clean up is complete, participants can return to the pavilion for lunch, which is being sponsored by various local businesses.

Whether you’re a proud long-time resident of Keller, a frequent visitor to the parks, or a newbie in town, every bit of trash you help pick up makes Keller better. To do it in collaboration with so many others makes it more fun, and makes a greater impact on the city as a whole.

Wouldn’t you like to be able to walk or drive through a trash-free town, or visit a park or shopping area, and know that it’s that way—at least in part—because of you?
