As of Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 the killer of a 78-year-old black woman named Arlene Ivey remains free. He's remained free for five years and four months, taking the elderly woman's life after ransacking her home first.
The senior citizen's body was found dumped in Potato Creek, located near Hannah's Mill Road Bridge in Thomaston, GA.
The GBI said an approximate 17 miles separated the home of Arlene Ivey from her eventual body dump site. The crime occurred sometime around Sept. 15, 2005, when the elderly woman's body was found.
Another woman of color's body was found dead recently, at St. Johns Avenue in Georgia. Stacey Nicole English. English was found beneath a fallen tree less than a mile where her Volvo was found still running in December.
English's parents believe her death is due to foul play, according to the AJC, with the Atlanta Police Department continuing to investigate, as they await toxicology reports.
If you have any information regarding either woman's death, please contact your local authorities or in Arlene Ivey's case the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (Special Agent Sam Baity at 706-565-7888) or in Stacey Nicole English's case the Atlanta Police Department.
