‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Season 11 contestant profile: Ray Alongi

Boston chef Ray Alongi lines up with the 20-contestant field of Season 11 for “Hell’s Kitchen,” celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s reality television cooking series. The roster, unveiled February 27, includes 10 female and 10 male chefs from across the United States.

Returning to Fox TV on March 12, the popular program opens its eleventh season with a signature dish competition, filmed before a live audience in Las Vegas.

Who is “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Ray Alongi?

Residing in Boston, 51-year-old Alongi works as an executive chef with ARC Restaurant Consulting. He also keeps a food blog, titled “Bull, Fin & Gin.”

The “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 11 contestant’s signature dish is Stuffed Veal Cutlet Damiano, which he prepares in honor of his father, Damian Alongi, with whom he cooked at Casa Regina in Abington, Massachusetts.

Airing on Tuesdays, beginning March 12 at 8 p.m. ET, the eleventh season of “Hell’s Kitchen” is themed “Get Out,” quoting one of Ramsay’s frequent exclamations from every season of the show. Alongi will vie with 19 other contestant cooks for a prime head chef position under Executive Chef Jeremy Berlin at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.

Alongi tweeted this on February 27 to announce his selection for Ramsay’s Season 11 lineup (cited unedited here):

TUNE-IN TO SEE ME COMPETE ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF “HELL’S KITCHEN” TUESDAY, MARCH 12 at 8/7c on FOX.
