‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Season 11 contestant profile: Michael Langdon

Pennsylvania chef Michael Langdon joins the 20-contestant field of Season 11 for “Hell’s Kitchen,” celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s reality television cooking series. The roster, unveiled February 27, includes 10 female and 10 male chefs from across the United States.

The popular program returns to Fox TV on March 12, opening its eleventh season with a signature dish competition, filmed before a live audience in Las Vegas.

Who is “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Michael Langdon?

Residing in Plains Township, Pennsylvania, 33-year-old Langdon works as an executive chef at the Huntsville Golf Club located in Shavertown, Pennsylvania. Previously, he cooked at Brasserie Perrier, Le Bec Fin, Glenmaura National Golf Club, and The French Manor Inn and Spa.

Langdon is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts.

The “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 11 contestant’s signature dish is Seared Striped Bass and Ratatouille with a Saffron Tomato Jus.

Airing on Tuesdays, beginning March 12 at 8 p.m. ET, the eleventh season of “Hell’s Kitchen” is themed “Get Out,” quoting one of Ramsay’s frequent exclamations from every season of the show. Langdon will compete with 19 other contestant cooks, aspiring to a prime head chef position under Executive Chef Jeremy Berlin at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.

Langdon posted this February 27 announcement on his Facebook page (cited unedited here):

Hell's Kitchen. Unreal!!! March 12th at 8pm on Fox!! Lets do this!!

Perhaps Langdon will be touched by an angel on “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 11, although he's likely unrelated to the late homonymously named actor Michael Landon and surely not to the fictional Robert Langdon of Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" and "The Da Vinci Code," played by actor Tom Hanks.
