Long Island chef Barret Beyer will compete in the 20-contestant field of Season 11 for celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s reality television cooking series, “Hell’s Kitchen.” The roster, revealed February 27, includes 10 female and 10 male chefs from across the United States.
Opening with a signature dish competition filmed before a live audience in Las Vegas, the popular program marks its eleventh season on March 12.
Who is “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Barret Beyer?
A native of Long Island, and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, 35-year-old Beyer works as a chef with The Emporium in Patchogue, New York.
Before joining the “Hell’s Kitchen” competition, Beyer worked with Bella Skye Catering to feed The Food Network’s “Chopped” staff and judges. He started the Howlin’ Hot buffalo wing-eating contest at The Black Wolf Bar and Grill in Syosset, New York.
Beyer studied at the Culinary Academy on Long Island, graduating at the head of his class.
The “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 11 contestant’s signature dish is Pork Loin Roulade with Mushrooms and Spinach Cream Sauce with Smashed Roasted Garlic Potato.
The eleventh season of “Hell’s Kitchen,” beginning March 12 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox TV, is themed “Get Out,” quoting one of Ramsay’s more print-worthy exclamations from every season of the show. Beyer will slug it out, kitchen-style, with 19 other contestant cooks, vying for a prime head chef position under Executive Chef Jeremy Berlin at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.
