On Thursday night’s installment of “Hell’s Kitchen” the chefs were first asked to pick 5 ingredients each using only their sense of touch, Gabriel however, could only count up to 4. Then using those 5 items, they were to prepare a dish that would be judged in a “king of the hill” fashion. And when it came to Gabriel’s turn, again he forgot to plate one component of his dish; chef Ramsay did not even bothered to taste the dish.
Rochelle, who as of last week is part of the Blue Team, took the chair and never let go, and won the challenge for her team, that in turn received a relaxing afternoon of pampering at an exclusive spa in Beverly Hills, CA. The Red Team on the other hand endured punishment in the form of delivery day.
Dinner service that night consisted of 24 guests representing UNICEF and a 5-course meal, each chef would be responsible for one course, while competing against the other kitchen’s chef preparing the same dish. Kashia faltered and blamed everyone for her mistakes and cried before chef Ramsay as if expecting some form of pity, Gabriel again forgot to count, Richard clumsy as usual, and it boggles the mind that he remains in the competition, then again others have been much worse than he, and Sandra once again lost, uncommunicative, and appearing so out of her comfort zone.
They managed to finish dinner service, but as a cohesive group neither team won, and chef Ramsay asked for 2 nominees from each team to be put up for elimination. Blue Team chose Sandra and Gabriel, and Red Team picked Kashia and Scott. The chefs pleaded their case, they promised to excel and learn from their mistakes, but chef Ramsay said that he was cutting down the field and to all watching; it was a relief when Sandra was told to take off her jacket.
“Hell’s Kitchen” runs on Thursday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
