'Hell's Kitchen:' A new group enters the boot camp of cooking

A new season of yelling and hilarious mishaps in the arena commanded by chef Gordon Ramsay has began, yes indeed, “Hell’s Kitchen” returned last night with 20 new chefs all hoping of becoming the Head Chef of the new Gordon Ramsay’s Pub and Grill at the Caesar's Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The first surprise was presenting the new chefs to a live studio audience and informing them that their first test, the well-known signature dish would be presented right then and there. Most chefs did a poor job according to the demanding chef Ramsay and a handful were able to impress him by their creativity, taste, and originality, the women or Red Team won by one vote over the men or Blue Team.

And then it was time for reward and punishment, the Red Team got VIP treatment and front row seats for a Celine Dion show, while the Blue Team was sent back to Los Angeles in a school bus, without air conditioning, and the heat was unbearable crossing the desert in the blistering heat.

Then, it was time for dinner service and chef Ramsay promised to finish dinner service on that first night regardless, of course before the end of the night several chefs were kicked out of the kitchen, most from the Blue Team, nevertheless, along with the remaining chefs in the Red Team they did as chef Ramsay predicted and both finished dinner service. The Blue Team still lost and so it fell on their shoulders to nominate two chefs for elimination and the first ousted chef was Sebastian.

Hell’s Kitchen” runs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST. on FOX.
