Imagine sitting outside in the warm sunshine enjoying your fresh BBQ sandwich and baked beans while listening to great music and viewing original local artwork. Sounds like a day in heaven!
If you like great BBQ, check out Hek Yeah BBQ located at 15044 N. Cave Creek Road, Suite 6. The BBQ is all homemade by genuinely kind owners Kenny and Heather. The meat is slow cooked, moist, tender, and to perfection! It's seriously some of the best BBQ that I've ever had. The menu is written on an old school chalkboard to accommodate changing specials.
You may have read Hek Yeah's consistently high ratings on Yelp, but what you may not know about this place is their love of the arts. Often times Hek Yeah will host events that feature emerging local bands and artists. This last holiday event was curated by Miss Fannie's House booking company whom also supplied the music. Dad Phil played the drums while his daughters sang.
Support your local restaurants, especially those that support local bands and artists. The price tag at Hek Yeah is comparable to any fast food meal, but instead of a gut bomb you get home cooked, healthy and delicious. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich, baked beans, and homemade brownie for lunch and was sent off with a pork BBQ sandwich for dinner. Everything is house made and craveable. My only complaint is that there isn't a restaurant close to where I live!
