Height requirements at the Magic Kingdom

While there is no right or wrong age to attend Walt Disney World, several of the rides are not safe for the smaller guests. That is why some of the attractions have height requirements. Ask a cast member at the entrance of the ride to measure your child if there is a question of height before you get in line. That way your child will not be disappointed after standing and waiting. The Rider Switch option is available for parents so that they can still ride if a child is too small. Again, ask a cast member for more information.

At the Magic Kingdom guests must be at least 44 inches tall in order to ride Space Mountain. There are three rides where guests must be 40 inches or taller. They are Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Stitch's Great Escape! Guests must be at least 35 inches tall in order to ride the Barnstormer in Fantasyland. The height requirement for Tomorrowland Speedway is 32 inches.
