Height requirements at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

Many rides at Walt Disney World have height requirements. These are to keep guests safe. The water parks are not exceptions. Remember when at Typhoon Lagoon that you are in charge of your child. The lifeguards are there for safety but ultimately keeping your child away from harm is your responsibility. Typhoon Lagoon provides life vests for guests who are not strong swimmers. Use of them is included in your park admission. They are available at several places throughout the park.

At Disney's Typhoon Lagoon there are two rides where guests need to be 48 inches or taller in order to ride. They are the water roller coaster Crush 'n' Gusher and Humunga Kowabunga. Typhoon Lagoon also has some height requirements that are the opposite of the norm. You must be 60 inches or shorter in order to enjoy Bay Slides. Ketchakiddee Creek is for guests 48 inches or shorter. Parents and other members of your party can be over the height limit as long as there is someone who meets the requirement.
