With airfares continually on the rise, families planning a Walt Disney World vacation may find it less expensive to pack up the car and hit the road on an adventure to Florida. Thought air travel will have you enjoying your Disney vacation before you know it, a road trip can not only save you money, but offer you and your family an opportunity to see some roadside landmarks along the way. Plus, you will have you car with you should you choose to not use Disney’s transportation to and from the theme parks.
Making sure you car is properly packed before heading out on vacation will ensure you do not have to spend unnecessary money for things left at home and that the car ride goes as smoothly as possible.
Before heading out make sure to conduct a complete inspection of your car or have your mechanic conduct a road trip overlook of your car. Check the tires, get an oil change, change the windshield wipers and have any other maintenance requirements completed on your car before leaving.
Clean out the car before packing it. Remove any unnecessary items from the car and check the condition of your jumper cables and roadside emergency kits. Add a couple bottle of hand sanitizer to use while on the road.
Pack some snacks and bottles of water. Which will reduce the need to have to stop for these items while traveling. Don’t forget change for tolls during your trip including when traveling on the Florida Turnpike.
To keep the kids entertained during the ride, pack an activity pack for them to enjoy. This pack can include anything from books, movies, games, snacks you name it.
Have a safe and happy road trip to the Walt Disney World Resorts!!
