Heidi Klum to join Howard Stern as judge on 'America’s Got Talent'

Howard Stern will welcome two new judges to the panel on “America’s Got Talent”. Heidi Klum has reportedly been named the show’s fourth judge for the upcoming eighth season, which begins airing later this spring on NBC (WFLA-TV in Tampa Bay). Klum, who has hosted her own show “Project Runway” on cable, joins returning judges Stern and Howie Mandel along with new judge Melanie Brown who was added to the show in February. The two new judges replace Sharon Osbourne who left the show after last season.

WTSP’s “10 News” has come out on top in the Tampa Bay ratings race for February. According to the Nielsen ratings service, 10 News won in all key demos, including Households, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18 plus.

“Our station truly has momentum”, said Ken Tonning, WTSP President and General Manager. “It takes a huge commitment and a complete team effort to get results like this. I’m very proud of our team.”

10 News at 11:00 p.m. with Reginald Roundtree and Heather Van Nest was rated as number one in the time period with a 4.6 household rating leading WFTS (3.5 HH RTG), WTVT (2.5 HH RTG) and WFLA (2.1 HH RTG).

10 News at 5:00 p.m. broadcast was up 94% while the 5:30 p.m. newscast rose 64%. 10 News at 6:00 p.m. gained 18% from last February. “I am pleased to see our 5:00 p.m. hour has the most year-to-year growth of any newscast in town,” added WTSP News Director Peter Roghaar. “The addition of anchor Charles Billi along with increasing the amount of news we are producing seems to be resonating with viewers.”

10 News at Noon had by far the highest rated newscast in its time slot. WTSP’s household rating was 90% higher than its closest competitor.

CBS Prime on WTSP (8-11pm) had 21% growth from February 2012. WTSP’s pre-prime programming dominated their time slots. Both Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy! were number one at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The show features interviews with head coach Mike Brey, and players Jack Cooley and Eric Atkins.
