Hugh Hefner's secretary dies after working for the founder of "Playboy" for over 40 years. "Mary passed away today. We loved her more than words can say," Hefner tweeted.
The 86-year-old is married to his third wife, 26-year-old Crystal Harris. Harris, who goes by Crystal Hefner on Twitter, tweeted, "Hef's long time secretary & my dear friend Mary O'Connor has passed away. It's a very sad day here at the Playboy Mansion. We love you Mary."
Those who follow the escapades of Mr. Hefner may be surprised there was a woman in his life who meant as much to him as the under 30 women we normally hear about. However, the magazine mogul is known for going his own way and doing his own thing.
According to Us Weekly magazine, O' Connor was 82 years old and sometimes showed up on Hefner's show "The Girls Next Door." After calling off his engagement to Harris back in June 2011, Hefner claims it was O'Connor who brought the two back together. "It's Mary O'Conner that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable & said so. Mary told Crystal to write & tell me, which she did," Hef tweeted.
Harris and Hefner were married on New Year's Eve. "First & foremost, Crystal and I got married on New Year's Eve and we couldn't be happier," tweeted Hefner.
