Heels & Hills Half Marathon cancelled

IRVING, TX - There will not be a 2014 Heels & Hills Half Marathon, 10k and 5k race. The race's website states, "Due to circumstances beyond our control there will not be an event on Sunday, May 4, 2014" The race's Facebook page has no information about the cancellation or if the race will return. This year's races were reportedly sold out.

According to the website, "Heels and Hills, Inc was founded by Paula Robertson in 2006 as a 501C3 non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting and increasing involvement in women's fitness for both first timers and seasoned professionals in a fun and unintimidating atmosphere. More than 11,000 participants have completed a Heels and Hills event."

At the time of publishing, the race organizer has not responded to a request for more information.
