Hedley had a nasty April Fools joke played on them by Mother Nature, which has force the Canuck alt-rockers to cancel a pair of shows on their Canadian tour.

According to news release posted April 1 at their official website at HedleyOnline.com, the two-time Juno winners have been forced to reschedule two shows due bad weather and road closures, which includes April 1 in Winnipeg, MB at MTS Centre and April 2 in Saskatoon, SK at Credit Union Centre.

Posting to their official Twitter account, the band tweeted, "We wish this was an April Fool's joke, unfortunately it's not."

The Winnipeg date has been rescheduled for Tues., April 15 while the Saskatoon show has been reset for Thurs., April 3.

Due to conflicting dates, support act Classified will not perform on the rescheduled Winnipeg show, but will still play at the new Saskatoon show.

Touring in support of their latest studio album "Wild Life,' the band were set to travel from a gig in Thunder Bay, ON. on Monday night, when the city was hit with freezing rain with snow and ice pellets forecasted.

Previously purchased tickets will be honoured on the new dates. Ticket holders unable to
attend the rescheduled date may return to point of purchase for a refund.
