Heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms possible

Scattered showers, heavy at times with embedded thunderstorms will effect the region tonight ahead of an approaching cold front. This front will slip through tomorrow bringing an end to the rain. Temps hold steady through the day before chilling off overnight tomorrow night. Another low will move SE of the region up along the front late tomorrow night and early Saturday. Most areas will see a cold heavy rain with some wet snow at times, but areas just NW of our region may see some heavy wet snow. Stay tuned for further details on this system. By Sunday high pressure returns bringing the return to sunshine and milder temps. A big warm up is in store with generally dry conditions through early next week.

A strong storm system looks to effect the region late week with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall possible.

The following is the seven day forecast for the Dayton metro area and a 50 mile radius around
it. Other metro areas like Columbus, Cincinnati, and Portsmouth are not

showers early. Winds S 10 to 15 mph, becoming W late. High 58. Chance of rain
50%. Rainfall around a tenth of an inch or less.

Fri night 3/28 - Mostly cloudy, a steady soaking rain late. Winds NE 5 to 15 mph. Low 40 dropping to upper 30s by dawn. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch or less.

Saturday 3/29 - Mostly cloudy, rain heavy at times, mixing with wet snow at times, then ending by 2pm. (Wet snow possible NW) Winds NE 5 to 15 mph, gust to 20 mph. High steady in the middle to upper 30s. Chance of rain/snow 100%. Rainfall around half to three quarters of an inch. (Wet snow accumulation possible NW)
