With a North American release date of the 23rd, and a Japanese release date of the 18th, retailers holding Heavy Rain still have a few more days to wait before copies start hitting the shelves. Unfortunately, some stores are having trouble containing themselves, and it may not be the retailer you would normally think.
Specifically, reports have come that some Blockbusters across the United States have begun to allow customers to rent copies of Heavy Rain, although not putting them up for sale, apparently. Heavy Rain has been having reviews coming in from across the board lately; most seem to be praising it. If this game catches your fancy, then I would recommend you stop by your local Blockbuster store and see if they are offering the game for rent.
For those of you hopefuls in Vancouver, it seems as though this offer won't be available to you.
