A strong cold front will move slowly eastward across the area today. As it does so, waves of low pressure will ripple northeastward along it. Rain showers will be widespread today and there could even be a thunderstorm in some areas. Temperatures will remain in the 60s this morning ahead of the front. It will be breezy as well with southwesterly winds gusting up to around 40 mph at times.
Once the front moves east of the area this afternoon, temperatures will fall through the 50s and into the 40s by late in the day.
Rain showers will continue into tonight. Colder air will continue to pour across the region from the west. The rain showers will likely change to snow showers late tonight as temperatures fall. Overnight lows will dip to the upper 20s.
On Monday, high pressure will build across the region. Lingering snow showers in the morning will end and skies will become partly sunny. It will be much cooler with highs in the low 30s.
High pressure will control the weather across northeastern Ohio Monday night and Tuesday with partly cloudy skies expected. Lows Monday night will fall to the low to mid 20s with highs on Tuesday reaching the low to mid 30s.
