Heavy Rain Possible In The Next 24-48 Hours

We reached 64 at Philly International before clouds and rain began in the late afternoon; rain will continue overnight with lows around 50 and stay there around the lower 50s come Tuesday. This is all from the same storm system that produced numerous tornadoes across Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee; we are fortunate to have high pressure just to our north, BUT with an onshore wind we are in the cooler sector so it will be a raw day and hence we'll be over 15 degree below average.

The same thing goes for Wednesday with rain heavy at times as highs will be in the upper 50s, but then overnight into Thursday temperatures will rise as we get into the warm sector(a warm front pushes north); this means that we can have some thunderstorms in the mix with highs in the middle 70s. When this is all said and done we can see over 4" of rain. There's a Flash Flood Watch in effect for Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Sorry this is so brief, but I've been tracking the severe weather in the south as it's good practice and educational to see your peers handle the stress of severe weather; You can see the rest of the 7-day for OUR area at
