Quantic Dream's newest Playstation 3 exclusive, Heavy Rain, reached stores across North America on February 23rd, roughly a week after the demo went live on the Playstation Network.  Said to be one of the most unique games for the Playstation 3, its reception from game reviewers and gamers alike have been favorable.

The feature that stands out the most in this game is the unique gameplay it has to offer, as it is played through a series of quick-time events.   Those without quick reflexes or an everlasting stigma against quick-time events might have trouble with this game, but it does not take too long for the gamer to be enraptured as the story progresses.

The story plays out like an interactive movie and depending on the choices the gamer makes throughout the game will determine how long the game can be and the events that transpire.  To those gamers that sat through a movie and wished the outcome was different, Heavy Rain seems to be the perfect game for that.  Each of the four playable characters offer something different and unique to the overall plot, and their actions, or death, will greatly effect the story.  This courtesy also extends to various nonplayable characters as well.

If gamers are not satisfied with one play through, then there is always an option for another go round, and another, and another.

Heavy Rain is available in stores now.  Call ahead for availability.
