Heavy rain and a snowstorm top the list of Michigan weather events on this day in history. From the National Weather Service archives here are the events that happened on February 13.

1894 - A two-day snowstorm dropped 12.8" of snowfall on Detroit!

1899 - A low temperature of -40° occurred in Iron Mountain.

1938 - Heavy rain and warm temperatures prevail for the second day. Lansing records over three inches of rain from the storm and Grand Rapids over two inches and some minor flooding is noted across Lower Michigan. Grand Rapids observes a record high temperature of 58°.
