Heavy metal band Asking Alexandria appearing on 'WWE RAW' in Brooklyn

WWE RAW is truly star-packed tonight on USA Network (7pm C/ 8pm E) with action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Scooby Doo, Hulk Hogan, and of course the WWE ‘superstars’ but one more rocking name has been added to this broadcast from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center: English metalcore band Asking Alexandria. The appearance was reported today by WrestlingInc, and the band confirmed it on their twitter with the following tweet.

AA’s singer Dan Worsnop clarified on his own Twitter account that the heavy metal maniacs would not be performing but simply checking out the action.

About to start getting ready (aka drinking) for @WWE tonight. Just to clarify, we are not performing. Just there for a good time and boobs.-@dannyworsnop

This is an odd booking by WWE considering how much celebrity involvement and the critical build to the company’s biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania. Tonight’s ‘RAW’ is also scheduled to see wrestling stars Daniel Bryan, John Cena, the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and more clashing to build hype for Wrestlemania 30 live on pay-per-view on Sunday April 6.

Pro Wrestling Examiner's Perspective: Asking Alexandria is one of the hottest heavy metal acts on the planet, who are currently touring the United States behind their ‘From Death to Destiny’ album. These British rock ‘n roll dudes have flirted with the wild of world of pro wrestling in the past, as they starred in a 2012 reality web series with soon-to-be WWE Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior. The “Warrior Show” was widely loved by wrestling fans online, as it pitter Warrior’s drill sergeant madness against the band and their rock band lifestyle in a sweaty mix of intervention and inspirational yelling. You can watch it in the video posted with this article.
