Orlando, Fla - Hip Hop has lost one of its greatest! Rap Legend Heavy D real name 'Dwight Arrington Myers' was taken to a hospital in L.A where he was pronounced dead.
According to reports, the rapper/actor complained of shortness of breath after returning home from shopping. Adam Mills, a designer found Heavy D leaning against a railing unable to breathe; paramedics were dispatched and the rapper was transported to a nearby hospital.
Per sources, Heavy D had a pulse and was conscious before being transported; however he was pronounced dead around 1p.m. A close friend of the legend claimed he had pneumonia, but doesn't know if that played a role in his death.
Heavy D was responsible for making hits such as: 'Mr. Big Stuff', 'Don't You Know,' and many more.. He surely will be missed.
