NBA exhibition games usually don’t draw much in the way of attention, but apparently preseason scrimmages are a different breed of cat.

At least for two-time defending league champions.

The Miami Heat have announced the team’s Red and White Game, sponsored by Doctors Hospital for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and the final scrimmage before the preseason schedule begins, is “sold” out.

But fear not!

The scrimmage will be available on the Internet via the team’s website, Heat.com. The “game” will be at 6 p.m. (ET) Sunday at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

The scrimmage, which will be treated as a regular four-quarter game with a halftime break, actually is a free event, but fans had to register before the game to pick up tickets.

The Heat will begin their preseason campaign the next night against Atlanta. They open the regular season Oct. 29 against the Chicago Bulls.
