Heartland Stables’ Beat the Blues series features January 21st horse show

Kiss those winter blues goodbye with a pre-season open horse show at Heartland Stables in Custer.

The equestrian event begins at noon on Saturday, January 29th.  A variety of horse show classes will be included for both youth and adult participants:

  • English Equitation
  • English Pleasure
  • Equitation
  • Halter
  • Horsemanship
  • Lead Line
  • Saddle Seat Equitation
  • Saddle Seat Pleasure
  • Showmanship
  • Walk/Trot
  • Western Horsemanship
  • Western Pleasure
  • and more.

Mare and gelding classes will also be offered.

Proper horse tack is required for the “Beat the Heat” horse show on January 21st, although traditional equestrian show apparel is not necessary. A current negative Coggins test result will be required for each equine participant.

Year-end awards will be presented at the end of the Beat the Blues series. Remaining horse shows include events on these dates:

Heartland Stables is located at 7510 Deer Road, in Custer, Wisconsin (about 110 miles north of Madison). Horse stalls may be available by advance reservation. Refreshments will be available in the equestrian facility’s indoor cafeteria. All dogs must be leashed while on the show grounds.
