UPDATE: Daisy was saved by Zani's Furry Friends and has found her forever home!
The attached photo was taken at the Staten Island facility of Animal Care and Control of New York City.
Daisy is a two-year-old, spayed Pit Bull mix whose family surrendered her to the kill-pound for "no time."
According to her memos, Daisy didn't impress the staff, for she was very fearful and acted out during intake.
Her confusion didn't begin during the initial exam, though. From this heartbreaking photo (from an unknown photographer, published on the Urgent Part 2 - Urgent Death Row Dogs Facebook page,) it is easy to tell that Daisy knew something awful was about to happen as her little human gave her one last hug good-bye...
If you believe that confusion and loneliness should not be the last things this poor dog knows and would like to give her a true home, email ACC at email@example.com and inquire about Daisy A0977448. (For local adopters only.) For more information, refer to her Facebook thread.
