After Heart’s rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” at the Kennedy Center Honors, it was announced today that the track is now available for download exclusively on iTunes for the next two weeks.

Ann and Nancy Wilson closed the Kennedy Center Honors playing the signature Led Zeppelin song after being asked by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to perform it at the December 2 gala.

Aired on CBS on December 26, the Kennedy Center Honors Foundation for the Arts decided to release this official recording.

The single is not available on iTunes as recorded by Led Zeppelin.

At a 2010 MusiCares fundraiser at the Grammy Museum, guitarist Nancy Wilson cited the British rockers as her muse that made her want to play guitar.

The two have previously played songs including Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" live during their concerts.

Ann and Nancy Wilson will be inducted into the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles on April 18.

Heart continues to tour in 2013 in support of their Top 20 studio CD, “Fanatic.” Their memoir “Kicking and Dreaming,” was an instant NY Times best seller.

The two sisters made their debut with their 1975 album “Dreamboat Annie” with the band's original line-up, which went platinum, making them the first women to front a successful hard rock band. Heart has generated 21 Top 40 hits including “Crazy On You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda, “Straight On,” “Even It Up,” “Kick It Out,” “These Dreams,” “Alone” and “Never,” among many others, culminating in sales of 35 million albums.

The group became the first successful rock band with a female lead guitarist.

Last year, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
