Heart Gallery Photo Exhibit at Atlantic Terminal to help foster care children

On Wednesday, May 18th, the Heart Gallery at Brooklyn's Atlantic Terminal presents the grand opening of a photo exhibit showing photographs of New York City foster care children to help raise awareness toward children in foster care.   In honor of National Foster Care Month, the Heart Gallery Photo Exhibit features more than 50 photographs of children seeking adoption from May 18-June 15.

The Heart Gallery connects with renowned photographers to capture some of New York City's most vulnerable children on film.  More importantly, the photo exhibit addresses the need to find homes for older children, especially teenagers who are at risk of aging out of the foster care system.

Foster care children featured in the photos will get a first look at their portraits as they are revealed.

The photo exhibit grand opening is free and open to the public.  Feature speakers include Rozanne Gold, Brooklyn based chef and adoptive mom, who will discuss healthy, nutritional eating habits. First-chef to Mayor Koch, Ms. Gold is an award-winning chef and author of Eat Fresh Food: Awesome Recipes for Teen Chefs.
