The Heart for Home School Ministry will be presenting their Winter Conference: Persevering through Home School Detours on January 22 and 23, 2010 at Grace Assembly Church in Wake Forest.
Beginning on Friday, January 22 at 6 pm, there will be workshops held for students and parents. The day on Saturday will begin at 8 am with workshops being held until 3 pm. The cost for the conference is $25 - which includes lunch on Saturday - for families, or $15 per person. Pre-registration is going on now through January 19 and you can register here.
This will be a day of encouraging, challenging and informative workshops for the home school community. The keynote speaker will be Robert Rogers of "Mighty in the Land" Ministries. He is a former homeschool dad who lost his entire family in a tragic accident. He has been seen on "Good Morning America" as well as having been interviewed by Dr. James Dobson on the Focus on the Family radio program.
Other speakers presenting at the conference include: Mari Fitz-Wynn of the Heart for Home School Ministries, Inc.; Janice Campbell of Everyday Education, Sue Patrick of Sue Patrick's Workbox System, Sharon Puryear and Debbie Jackson of Live & Learn Press, LLC, Linda Leigh Hargove, novelist, Lynne Taylor and Canna Cunningham of the Fieldtrip Gals, and many others.
